On signing into the application, we request that you use a social media profile such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat. Once this is done, the application will provide information based on your preferences such as language, and age category.
It will also give you the opportunity, to specify preferences, and attributes. The more information you give to the system, the more accurate the information given back to will be based on the algorithm. All of this information, is private and personal to you, as no information is passed to any service provider, unless you expressly desire to do so.
After analysis, and based on multiple criteria, such as language, location, preferences and length of stay, the system will offer you a choice of service providers. it can further refine your choices by matching criteria based on filters. Filters can include distance you are willing to travel, level of discount, ratings and reviews, accessibility, or language of service.
So if you like pizza, and you are in Milan, and are willing to walk for five minutes, a notification appears on your mobile device from a local pizzeria offering you a discount if you dine at their location.
When choosing the pizza location, you may have a preference for live music, so the application will first offer you pizza locations with live music, with a secondary preference of just pizza.
If you install the mobile application and use it in your hometown, the system knows that you’ve ordered pizza online multiple times in the last 30 days, and it also knows that you have visited an Italian restaurant multiple times over the last 90 days. If you allow the system, to combine your behavioral profile, it can more accurately predict that you are likely to enjoy this type of food when you are travelling.
Although you hadn’t selected pizza as a “favorite,” you do frequently visit the pizza parlor in your hometown, so the coupon is a perfect match for your culinary tastes! This tourism experience is tailored to you, while also allowing you to experience the local culture. The best part? All of this takes place on one mobile application.
